About the event
CA P.O.S.T. Certified: 16 hours
The course is designed to provide law enforcement officers a solid understanding of the fundamentals of night vision deployment. The class will cover gear choice, setup, and the use of night vision goggles (single / dual tube). Students will understand how to maintain and care for the devices. Additionally, students will be taught the implementation and hazards of infrared laser aiming devices. Students will perform night time movements in low light / no light interior and exterior environments safely. Students will participate in a variety of live fire range exercises where they will show competency with NVG, aiming lasers, and white light.

HOURS OF OPERATION:
DAY 1: 1500 to 2400 hours
DAY 2: 1600 to 0100 hours
FOOD:
Limited available food options. Students should bring food each day.
PREREQUISTE:
Students should have a strong understanding, skill, and safe handling of a patrol rifle and handgun. Students must be sworn law enforcement.
